Some characters were done very well (Velvet/Eizen/Laphicet) whereas other characters were agonizing (Bienfu/Magilou). (High pitched Japanese anime voices can be just as annoying as high pitched english dubs.) Anyways, the voice acting can range from amazing, to absolutely agonizing. I know purists will always say to play the game in Japanese but I find it much harder to immerse myself in that way. I tend to play these games in English because that is my native language. The battle music on the other hand is quite exciting, as it tends to in this particular game franchise. The overworlds and town music sounds rather generic of it's genre. ***Audio and Sound Presentation*** Tales Games really can't get this right, perhaps it's because it's their trademark. The overworlds at times can feel a bit generic and bland however they get the job done. The battles are full of color and animation. The anime cutscenes fit in extremely well with the world, never feeling jarring when it goes full FMV. The game played at a smooth 60fps with no lag or frame skips. It's a style I really appreciate, as it feels like i'm playing inside of an anime world. ***Graphical Presentation*** This game looks like an anime-style bandai-namco game. Towards the last half of the game the action picks up and everything the slow burn built up starts to come together to form a rather satisfying conclusion. As the story progresses however, the story doesn't give itself much room to go anywhere but down. The story has quite an amazing intro and starts off on a high note. ***Story Thoughts*** I won't mention story beats due to heavy spoiler potential. Bloodlust, murder, revenge, vengeance, sacrifice, anger and depression. ***Themes and age rating*** This game's themes are very dark. So currently I'm going in trying to finish games that have been on the backlog for the longest. 80% PCHonestly, I keep getting distracted by the newest shiny game that I tend to leave games on the backburner for a very long time.
